When off the job, you’ll find plenty of laughs, baked goods, a few puppy dogs and the odd child or grandchild visiting our office to keep things real. Not a day goes by that we aren’t grateful for the team of very special people who open the doors to our Hughes office and work their magic. Our clients who return years or maybe a decade later to have their property inspected again by us is testimony to the long-term connections we work hard to foster.
Raised on the land in the Upper Hunter where he learned the definition of a hard day’s work, Lindsay has been a member of the Canberra community for over 40 years. His experience in the building industry spans both commercial and residential projects – what this man doesn’t know about the ins and outs of property construction and compliance is no-ones business! Lindsay went into partnership with his daughter Kelly in 2003 and they haven’t looked back. Their family roots have laid the groundwork for a very special company where our staff know that they are not just a number, and are genuinely able to contribute to the growth and evolution of Residential Reports. Following decades of owning and operating businesses, Lindsay has a keen eye for opportunity, a passionate focus on his customers and a strong commitment to staff development. From building bespoke dolls furniture for his grandchildren and tending to his beehives, to inspecting literally thousands of Canberra homes, when Lindsay isn’t up a ladder, he’s a whizz in the kitchen… and doesn’t mind a beer or two on a sunny afternoon looking over the Brindabellas from his balcony in Weston.
If you had asked Kelly how she might use her qualifications in Communications & Public Relations, she would never have anticipated it would be working in the property industry. After working as the Sales Manager for a publishing house in Montreal, and a return to Australia to work in Federal Government Public Affairs, Kelly was keen to establish her own business. Fast forward to today and Kelly and her father Lindsay, have enjoyed enormous success and many challenges as they have grown Residential Reports into a thriving operation employing Canberra’s finest team. Her keen interest in real estate and business innovation, has been a driving force in our development of award winning technology solutions for the industry and she is committed to ensuring the RR team are given full autonomy to contribute actively to our company’s strategic direction. Kelly’s passion for marketing and business development underpins strong relationships with Canberra’s leading agents… who may find her cursing over a wind bike at the Deakin Den at dawn or moonlighting as a taxi driver to 4 gorgeous children who keep her feet cemented firmly to the ground!
A local lad with a wealth of experience, Michael brings a unique element to Residential Reports ensuring Real Estate agents and their individual requirements are his number one priority. A proud Marist College alumni, Michael sharpened his hospitality skills in Sydney during the Olympic Games, before moving on to London, Dubai and the Gold Coast. A welcome return to Canberra with a young family provided new opportunities in sales which has progressed to his decade plus experience working alongside our region’s finest agents as a presale inspections expert. A bit of a fitness nut, Michael hits the gym before the sun comes up each day, and can often be found challenging an agent or two on the golf course. From taste testing a local beer, to pub grub, a fine dining experience or a knees up at the next Real Estate awards night, Michael’s relationships with our Agents is the stamp that sets Residential Reports apart. He is a phone call away to manage the trickiest of curve balls or to help co-ordinate large volumes of listings that need special attention and is highly regarded for ensuring that every agent receives an unsurpassed customer experience – every time. Although he doesn’t mind a City to Surf, or the odd half marathon… we haven’t seen him say no to Louise’s latest batch of RR scones!
At Residential Reports we have an unwavering policy about the inspectors who work for our clients… they must all have all swung a hammer in earnest in their previous careers. Yes the qualifications are important (and they must have that to be on our team), but we are passionate that they really understand residential buildings and you can only do this if you have done a hard days work in construction. Our inspectors are renowned for the rapport they develop with Agents, Buyers and Sellers, they understand that their advice and opinion is significant during the sales process and they take the responsibility seriously. Outside the office you’ll find them bike riding, at the gym, running kids to various activities, fishing and renovating their own homes – but when they are on the job their commitment to presale reporting is stellar.

Our smart, dedicated and friendly experts make Residential Reports their priority every single day.
